What do the movie 'Elf' and the West Shore Symphony Orchestra have in common? Well, not much really ... except that Amy and I attended both this weekend. In fact, we attended both on Saturday.
Going into Elf I had very high expectations. I had read many positive reviews and now, I am happy to tell you I wasn't let down. Will Ferrel is excellent and the laughs don't slow down (much) from beginning to end. Elf is a great kids movie and a great adult movie, as well. Just remember ... the yellow ones don't stop! ;)
The WSSO presentation of 'A Night at the Opera' featured excerpts from 'Samson and Delilah', 'Akhnaten' and 'Aida'. If you haven't attended a performance by the WSSO, I suggest going. The experience, starting with the Pre-Concert Conversation, through the performance and ending with dinner at the City Cafe, was very enjoyable.
