D-Night?

DEBATE NIGHT! FINALLY, we get to hear the candidates speaking honestly and unscripted. ... ... ... ... Ok, so my hopes of spontaneity are illfounded. However, I do expect tonights debate to be a good show. Can the jowl'd man prove that he is steadfast and honest? Can the chimpanzee prevent the nasty habit of being inarticulate from occuring in every breath? My hopes are high for tonight ... I just wish Jon Stewart was moderating ;)

Letter to blogSPAMmers

I don't think you get it. I ENJOY getting your blogSPAM and then blocking your IP from further posts. Yes, you read what I said correctly. I ENJOY REACTIVELY BLOCKING BLOGSPAM. Could I take some proactive steps towards blocking blogSPAM? Sure ... easily. Could I use a more efficient method then blocking blogSPAM by single IP? Again, yes ... easily. However, I have one hell of a lot of fun adding the IP of the hijacked (or otherwise offsite) machine manually into my IP ban list.

I can't explain why I have fun doing this ... but, I am pretty sure it is due to the same quirk that makes me watch my firewall log live on my second monitor. *blocked packet* *blocked packet* *blocked packet* *ALLOWED* *blocked packet* *blocked packet* *blocked packet* *ALLOWED* *ALLOWED* *blocked packet* *blocked packet* *blocked packet*

Flight X1

Wow. I just watched an hour of webcast regarding the LIVE flight X1 ... the first flight (except for the test flight) for SpaceShip One in an attempt to garner the X-Prize. Amazing. Mike Melville has touched down safely.

Finally ... sort of.

Conan is replacing Leno. According to the article, the transition will happen in 2009. It is a shame it can't happen tonight. Leno is NOT funny ... he is lucky he can generally book some decent guests.

This doesn't directly effect me because I don't have cable (or any other) TV. I suppose by 2009 I might ... nah. The only thing Comcast is good for is broadband.

Attack On Hobbies

What? I don't understand. George W. Bush and his campaign are now using Kerry's hobby of windsurfing as proof/pun that his opinions change direction like the wind. Link here.

What? Does that campaign really want to make WINDSURFING an issue? Or, is the flip-flop palaver wearing thin on America's last nerve?

Do they really want Kerry to swing back at W. regarding his golfing ... or his vacationing? *shake head* I don't get it. It must be funny if you lean to the right. *shrug*

Flip-Flop

Well then, it seems all of us flip-flop now and then. What a shock.

WAIT ... I'm sorry. If you are in agreement with the Bush administration then it is called a 'shift' ... not a flip-flop. My mistake.

Tonight

World Cup Finals Hockey ... Canada vs. Finland ... being that the NHLPA is a bunch of whimpering, rich-boy pansies, this could be the last NHL hockey caliber game for awhile. DAMN YOU NHLPA ... *SHAKE FIST*
