I visited Emily in Pretoria this past weekend. We visited the Union Buildings and toured the surrounding gardens. It was all so beautiful. I also had a chance to say "goodbye" to our friends Gary and Stan. Their kindness has been overwhelming, as they've volunteered as our unofficial "hosts" in many ways during our stay in South Africa... It's really difficult to say goodbye, especially not knowing when and if I might ever see them again, but I'm so glad just to have met them -- and to have had the opportunity to reside in this beautiful country, even if just for a short while...
