For future reference:

% make makefiles CCARGS='-I/opt/local/include -DUSE_TLS -DUSE_SASL_AUTH -DDEF_SERVER_SASL_TYPE=\"dovecot\"' AUXLIBS="-L/opt/local/lib -lssl -lcrypto"
% make
% sudo make install

(or in the future - if /etc/postfix/main.cf exists already):
% sudo make upgrade
